Jody has nearly 20 years’ experience in investment and fund management particularly from an operational and risk management perspective. Her career has been focussed predominantly on both listed and open ended funds established in Guernsey and other international centres, including UCITS, and she has a deep rooted understanding of investment operations and administration across multiple jurisdictions having worked across all areas of the fund management and administration business.
She is an analytical problem solver capable of using her knowledge of investment characteristics and regulatory requirements to deliver client focussed solutions with a commercial and pragmatic approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Jody holds a Masters in International Legal Practice from the University of Law and a Masters in Finance from the University of London as well as the Institute of Directors’ Diploma in Company Direction. Her professional qualifications include the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), the Chartered Wealth Manager and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). She is also a Chartered Fellow of the Securities and Investments’ Institute.
Jody is a Committee Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments’ Institute Guernsey Branch and also serves as a voluntary director to the Guernsey Housing Association LBG.

Danny has focussed his entire career on the accountancy profession and has just passed the 30 year career milestone in the finance industry. His experience ranges from audit practice, taxation, client accounting, trust and company accounting and his last 15 years has been within the funds industry. He has vast experience with closed ended funds and listed company financial statements with a focus on multi-currency and multi-jurisdiction consolidations. He has held senior positions within fund administration companies and has sat on the Boards of General Partner companies. He also has a thorough understanding of administration of a number of different fund structures.
Danny takes pride in his ability to approach a number of different situations looking at the wider scope and providing approaches to address the cause and not the result. This leads to a smoother operation and time saving on administrative processes.
Danny is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which he has been qualified in for 20 years.

Previously, Kelson led a corporate fund team and was responsible for meeting and maintaining client engagements. During this time, Kelson particularly focused on Guernsey established closed-ended funds with international investors, UK listed companies and UK renewable energy funds. Kelson’s noteworthy skills focussed on fund operations, US investor tax reporting, capital adequacy requirements, local and international matters of financial reporting (IFRS, FRS 102, GAAP) and Audit liaison.
Kelson’s background in Guernsey’s fund industry has focussed on developing and building strong practices to support decision making. He strives to approach challenges with a lateral problem-solving mindset and keeps as his goal to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients.
Kelson is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and also a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (MCSI).
Dr. Sloan has a strong background in strategy, communications, regulation, tax transparency and sustainable finance and a proven track record of international engagement on global policy issues. He is Deputy Chief Executive, Strategy, at Guernsey Finance, responsible for coordinating the development of Guernsey’s financial services strategy.
He was previously Director of Financial Stability, and a member of the Executive Committee, of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (the “GFSC”) and was its international policy advisor between 2014 and 2018. Between 2008 and 2013, he was Chief Economist for the Guernsey government, head of its central research and policy unit and lead advisor on fiscal and economic policy, leading the negotiating teams with the UK, US and EU on tax transparency agreements, FATCA and Code of Conduct reviews respectively. Andy remains an external advisor to Guernsey’s government on international tax transparency issues. Andy leads Guernsey’s Green Finance initiative and is Guernsey’s Representative to United Nations’ Finance Centres for Sustainability Network. Andy is an expert reviewer for the International Panel on Climate Change’s Sixth Assessment Report. Andy is a member of the CityUK’s International Regulatory Strategy Group’s standing committee on regulatory coherence and the BVCA’s Channel Islands Working Group. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors and Institute of Risk and holds a PhD in Macroeconomics.
Dr. Sloan acts as the Chairman of the Obsidian Board and its New Business Committee.
Mr. Taylor’s background comprises investment management and trading activities combined with portfolio oversight and risk management functions. He currently acts as Head of Trading for Eric Sturdza Investments in Guernsey, a role he has performed since 2010.
Prior to joining Sturdza Richard was an Investment Manager at LCF Edmond de Rothschild (now Rocq Capital) for eleven years from 1999 to 2010. In this role Richard was involved in the design, marketing and trading of structured products in addition to managing investment portfolios both for discretionary private clients and collective investment schemes.
Richard holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Plymouth and is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities and Investments Institute. Mr. Taylor chairs the Obsidian Risk Management Committee.
